»A greeting for you – sent from here.«

A postcard travels: carrying stories, flashes of thought, fragments that linger. In the meeting of Momi Maiga and Ensemble Resonanz, these become music. Songs for kora and voice collide with classical repertoire, intertwine, and keep moving – from ear to ear, from person to person. And before you know it, you’re part of the conversation.

Momi Maiga

Momi Maiga is a kora player, composer, and singer whose music moves effortlessly between traditions and genres. Blending elements of jazz, pop, and flamenco, he creates a distinctive and contemporary sound rooted in a rich musical heritage. A Fellow of the Beethovenfest Bonn, Maiga is an artist of remarkable versatility and presence.

With his expressive voice and virtuosic playing, he captivates audiences wherever he performs—filling concert halls and leaving behind an inspired crowd.

A concert about encounters.

In this project, kora player and singer Momi Maiga meets Ensemble Resonanz. Each brings music they feel at home in — and invites the other to respond, connect, and transform it.

»songs and postal pieces« is a collaboration between Ensemble Resonanz and the Beethovenfest Bonn.

The programme moves between classical repertoire and Maiga’s music shaped by Senegal and Catalonia. What unfolds is a dynamic exchange between traditions, styles, and perspectives.

The audience becomes part of this exchange: through a flexible spatial setup and a playful postcard concept, where messages, images, and sounds travel through the concert.

The result is an immersive concert experience that explores proximity and distance — and creates moments of real connection.
