Jonathan Pengl grew up near Stuttgart and discovered his love for music early on. The desire to make it his profession led him to Berlin, where he graduated from the University of the Arts with Prof. Konstantin Heidrich with an artistic diploma in violoncello. As a team member of the Podium Festival Esslingen and co-initiator of the Badische Kammerphilharmonie, Jonathan came into contact with the organisation and design of classical music. This motivated him to take up a Master in Cultural Management at the KMM Institute of the HfMT in Hamburg after completing his cello studies. He gained experience in teaching and communicating contemporary music at the Ensemble KNM Berlin. His Berlin string trio and his Hamburg cello quartet offer a balance between management and his own music-making.
Jonathan joined Ensemble Resonanz in April 2017. He is currently responsible for the project management of the digital resonance room.
